Frequently Asked Questions
To help shed some light on our services, here are answers to the frequently asked questions about prototyping and volume manufacturing.
Common Questions
How do I get a manufacturing quote?
How do I know my design will be kept confidential?(Non-Disclosure Agreements)
What file types do you support for instant quotes?
2D CAD drawings with reference dimensions in format DWG and PDF.
All of the XMCERA processes are dependent on good 3D CAD solid models.
What is your MOQ(minimum order quantity)?
What are XMCERA’s shipping terms?
Can I purchase finished components?
Yes, of Course, we have all processing machine in house, including sintering furnace, brazing furnace, OD/ID grinder, CNC machining, coating, sandblasitng, brazing and assembling. We have full competitive in our prices and delivery time.
How quickly can I get my parts?
Each process is different and depends on part size, quantity required, and finishing requirements. Quality prototyping parts can be made in 10-15 days. molding parts may take 3-6 weeks to complete. More complex parts requiring or other special features will take longer. As for shipping, most of our shipments are via air freight, which can take a few days from China to Europe or North America.
Can we get credit with Wayken?
Unless otherwise agreed upon, all new rapid prototyping customers must pay in advance, we will consider giving 30 days credit based on the order quantity after a period of cooperation between the parties.
Except in very special cases, all tooling orders require a 100% deposit in advance, even for clients who have credit terms. Terms are negotiable with each individual customer.
General Manufacturing
Why are fine ceramics?
Fine ceramics such as alumina, aluminum nitride, zirconia, silicon carbide, silicon nitride and titania-based materials, each with their own specific characteristics, offer a high-performance, economic alternative to conventional materials such as glass, metals and plastics.
What types of ceramic do you supply?
Fine Ceramics is unusual,as we offer the full range of fine ceramics from machinable grades like Boron Nitride and Machinable Glass Ceramics through to materials that require diamond grinding like Alumina, Zirconia, Carbides, Nitrides and Sapphire. We can machine and supply virtually any ceramic material. This allows us to optimise the material selection and design what is right for you the customer, rather than what is right for our capability.
What types of manufacturing processes can you offer?
Process we have Dry press, Isostatic Press, Powder Injection Molding, Sintering, CNC Machining,3D Printing,Injection Molding,Sheet metal, Surface Treatment and Assembling Service.
At XMCERA, we accept the challenge of resolving problems, increasing our knowledge through each experience. Our highly skilled team has developed a distinct understanding of machining parts for any industry made from any material, from metals and ceramics to plastics and elastomers. We will work with your engineering departments to develop processes, assuring that each specification is met.
What are the advantages if choosing CNC to make my parts?
Almost all engineering plastic and metal materials can be processed to ensure the consistency of prototype parts and mass production parts. In addition, it has high dimensional stability, high machining accuracy and high repetition accuracy. CNC machined parts are far superior to 3D printing parts in accuracy, strength, surface finish and material availability.
What tolerances can machining achieve?
XMCERA’s general tolerance is applied to ISO 2768 (medium) for machined plastic and ISO 2768 (fine) for machined metals. Typically, we can hold a CNC machining tolerance from ±0.005″ (±0.125mm) to ±0.002″ (±0.05mm), and grinder from ±0.001″ (±0.025mm) to ±0.0002″ (±0.005mm) .
How long do you store my injection molding mold for?
We will keep your injection molding mold for reuse for 2 years. This period can be extended upon your request.
Quality Assurance
Do you have any quality certifications?
XMCERA is ISO 9001:2015 certified. You can download our certificates here.
How does XMCERA ensure the quality of my parts?
Once your order is confirmed, we will perform a full Design for Manufacturing (DFM) review to point out any issues that our engineers feel may affect the quality of your parts.
We have the ability to share inspection data with you in real-time so we can work together to address any quality issues you may have during production. All incoming materials will meet your design specifications. Final inspection reports before shipment.
Do you offer OQC reports? Like material cert and FAQ?
Through the implementation of the overall quality management system, during each process in the production strengthening quality control and inspection, ensuring the optimization of the company’s processes, and the effective communication between customers and departments, also training the quality awareness of employees, pushing to upgrade continually implement technology, and efficiently manufacturing high-quality products.
What is your sampling plan?
Our Statistical Sampling Plan is based on MIL-STD-105E with Zero rejects as shown in Table.
